Interesting New York Times article about shoddy production on the 787 Dreamliner:

"Workers at a 787 Dreamliner plant in South Carolina have complained of defective manufacturing, debris left on planes and pressure to not report violations."

They’ve had that problem at that plant since it opened. At one time airlines were refusing 787’s that came out of the South Carolina plant. There’s a video on YouTube about it.

It will be interesting to see what comes from investigations into the certification of the 737 Max.

Sounds like they may have some manufacturing issues to sort out. The US Air Force was refusing to take delivery of their new tankers due to similar issues.
