Landing on Moving Ships?

Recommended Posts

Is it going to be possible to land on moving scenery such as ships or AI as we were able to in CFSII? In particular aircraft carriers and helo pads on ships that have been programed to move in a specific direction and speed.

But the yacht in the demo is static? I couldn't see any movement. I would take the answer with a grain of salt...

Yes I saw the yacht was moving side to side with the waves but are we able to have them actually moving at say 25 knots through the water and still be able to land on them? Sounds good so far though.

There was a similar thread on this subject at Sim-Outhouse where pixelpoke indicated that landable moving platforms were a significant but not impossible problem to deal with. It appears to be one of these situations of trading off time to code versus importance of feature. I hope they do decide it important enough.http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php?t=14171

Any news from E3 about landing on moving ships? This feature is on top of my FSX wishlist :) With FSX being more mission oriented than its predecessors the challenges of landing aircrafts on moving platforms would be a nice addition.regards
