Hi All

Just wanted some with more knowledge than me to have a quick look at the following specs for a new computer

Processor (CPU)Intel® Core™ i7 Eight Core Processor i7-9700K (3.6GHz) 12MB cache
 Motherboard Gigabyte Z390 AORUS Master: ATX, LG1151, USB 3.1, SATA 6GBs WIFI – RGB ready Memory(RAM)16GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR4 3200MHz (2 x 8GB)
Graphics Card 8GB NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 2080 - HDMI, 3x DP GeForce - RTX VR Ready
1st Storage Drive 2TB Samsung 860 QVO 2.5" SSD, SATA 6Gb/s (up to 550MB/sR | 520MB/sW)
 M.2 SSD Drive1TB INTEL® 760p M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD (up to 3230MB/sR | 1625MB/sW)
Power Supply CORSAIR 650W VS SERIES™ VS-650 POWER SUPPLY
Processor CoolingNoctua NH-U14S Ultra Quiet Performance CPU Cooler

Would a system based on this run P3d well? I currently tend not to use too much add-on scenery as my current set up doesn’t handle it particularly well when using complex aircraft.

Looking forward to all the replies

Regards

G

I'm getting something similar to yours. Main difference is i went for the 9900k as it was only a little over $100 Cdn more and I also chose a slightly larger power supply. Future proofing as much as possible.

P3d on your machine will run great.

Have just finished my new build, same mobo (great one) but an I9-9900KF (not the K but KF) 🙂 running 5.0 ghz (all cores) at 1.27v and uncore of 4.7ghz

With several M2 drives and one SSD a RTX 2080 MSI Trio (2560x1440 2k display) corsair RM850W corsair 32gb ddr4-3200 memory and a X62 AIO

Great step up from my I7-6700K 😉

So 32gb ideally then... 😁

32gb isn't used at this point in P3D (16GB for P3D is at this point more then enough), but to be future proof 😉

If you use more flightsimulators, for example XP then 32GB would be a valid decision 😉

I think that is a good choice for a new system.  I bet you'll be pretty happy!
