PACX (TFDi) status?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know the status of TFDi's "PACX"? It was sepculated that it will be ready maybe in June but then suddenly there has been no further info anywhere for months and I read in another forum that the CEO plus developers left the company/project.

As I don't want to watch all the video, can someone say if an ETA was given?

PACX doesn't interest me near as much as my wish for an FO for that aircraft if he didn't do anything other then TO speed, flap and gear setting call outs. Check list calls would be fantastic. IMO that's just what would complete that add-on. Well, maybe winds aloft entries as well. Bryan York has already said he's not interested in the TFDi because he's already covered up. Pity.

Not gonna lie, I was a little disappointed with the stream. If you choose the automated announcements you don't actually hear any announcement. However, if you choose to make the announcement yourself there is also no PA sound effect either. These would be small but not able features in my opinion.

What would be an even more cool feature is that if you made the announcement then PACX would play it back with a filter over it so it sounded like it came through the PA system on the plane.

They clearly said it was NOT a sound demo, everything relating to sounds is still being recorded and worked on. You will hear every announcement and even details like time of arrival and city/airport.
