P3Dv4.5 requires the latest version of the F1 GTN750, ver 2.10.

As for the radar, I believe Milviz and REX are still working on the needed update for P3D.4.5

Milviz sent out an e-mail the other day indicating that their WX radar has been patched for P3D 4.5.

Strange -- I still don't see a WX radar update available on the REX site. Latest available update still shows Update 6, 22 Dec 2018. And the new update is still listed as 'In Testing'. Maybe I'm just not looking in the right place somehow.

Were you able to download the update for P3Dv4.5?

Thx,

Al

All my Milviz planes are running OK with WX Radar and GTN v 2.08

Do we need a special WX Radar update for non Milviz planes?

WX Radar crashed my Milviz planes after update to P3D4.5 till WX Radar update received -now all works

WX Radar seems to be powerful piece of software

It is built into Flight Sim Lear and Falcon 50

Yes able to download from the link they provided in the e-mail, it downloaded fine but did not install because I haven't moved to v4.5 yet.

A couple of things to consider...

1) AFAIK, the MilVix specific WX radar is locked to only function with MilViz aircraft that support it. So it's not going to work in the FlySimWare aircraft. What it does if you try... not sure, but I suspect it ends with exiting P3D.

2) If you're trying to use both the MV version and the Rex version, you need to be aware of the P3D search path for dlls. You don't want to be loading the MV version when you want the Rex.

And just to clear up any potential confusion, the "Rex" version is actually also a "Milviz" version, as it was developed/marketed as a collaboration between the two companies...the more correct nomenclatures would be the Milviz integrated version and the "Rex-Milviz" general release version for installation to the your acft of choice.  I checked with Justflight and there is no P3Dv4.5 update for the Rex-Milviz general release version posted yet...still the 20 Dec 2018 version for v4.4.  Their update timeliness is the worst of all my add-ons, often months go by after a P3D point release before an update materializes.

Thanks w6kd

That was my conclusion

I have sympathy with developers and these rapid fire P3D changes

Just Flightsim out of step now

I will just have to be patient

As far as I know, the FSW Falcon 50 and Lear35 use the "REX-Milviz" general release version of the WX radar. I have not updated to P3Dv4.5 yet (I'm waiting for the soon-to-be-released LM fix), but since REX says they are working on a WX radar update for P3Dv4.5 I 'assume' that is what will be needed for the Falcon and Lear in P3Dv4.5. Flight1 also said they have updated their GTN750 for P3Dv4.5 to ver2.10, so I again 'assume' that is what will be needed with that sim version. With previous P3D updates, not using the appropriately updated GTN 750 or WX Radar would crash the sim.
