Think I found a freq. bug

Recommended Posts

KPDX, QW787. Assigned clearence delivery freq 120.12. P2ATC radio tunes to 120.125 (which is the correct frequency). As the assigned freq is 120.12, not 120.125, when I ask for clearance on 120.125 I'm told to tune to 120.12, which I can't do, so I can't get a clearance.

120.12 is shorthand for 120.125 and is the same frequency.

I just tried it at KPDX and was able to reach Clearance Delivery and get clearance for the filed flight plan.

If you email the P2A Log for this flight to me at admin@pilot2atc.com, I'll have a look and see what might have caused your problem.

Yeah, that flight was kind of a mess. I ended up getting clearance after takeoff, but then various freqs along the route kept having the same problem. Happy to email you the file - can you specify which file you need to see? I see two log files in the data directory.

P2A Log files are located in:
C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\P2A_200\Logs
where <UserName> is your PC user name. Portions of the path may be hidden by default, so be sure Windows Explorer has Show Hidden Items checked in the View tab.
A new one is created each time you start Pilot2ATC, so if you take the most recent one when you have the error, you should have the correct one.

I would suggest you wait until this happens again and then shut down Pilot2ATC and email me the most recent log file, that would be for the flight with the error.

Thanks,

Dave
