P3D does not "crash" for me, but today I see I get the same on every exit/use of P3D.

For me, the KERNELBASE.dll CTD was attributed to FSUIPC.  I was only getting it on one aircraft, which happened to employ FSUIPC components in Spad.next.  I had the same CTD and the same exception code.  I followed Pete Dawson's instructions located at https://forum.simflight.com/topic/86911-ctd-after-p3d-v4-load/?tab=comments#comment-527158 and have been CTD free since.  No guarantees for you, but may be something worth looking at.  Another thing to do just to see is go into your windows CMD prompt and type scannow /sfc and verify you don't have any corrupt system files.  Good luck.

I believe the correct command is sfc /scannow , and it should be run from a Command Prompt with Administrator privileges.  Good idea to run sfc /scannow here... and anytime Windows does an update!

The problem with upgrading to a new version of P3D is that some add-ons are no longer compatible.  FSUIPC is one.  ASP4 is another but they usually tell you where to get the update.  The AVSIM CTD Guide provides probable causes for kernelbase.dll errors in the probable causes section.  The kernelbase.dll does not belong to P3D so it was not the fault of P3D that caused your crash.  Don't worry.  YOu have P3D installed properly and you know positively it cannot be the P3D app causing your issues UNLESS you have installed an add-on that is not compatible.  So, check out the AVSIM P3D Guide and go to page 10.  It tells you how to fix it by you investigating.  You can go to the C:\Documents\Prepar3D folder and move the CONTENTS to a temp directory.  This will get rid of your scenery add-ons.  See if this fixes the problem.  If so, it was an add-on scenery.
