Invalid Models

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I recently switched from FSX: SE to P3d4 this week, because I was sick of the CTD's.  One of the addons that I was the most excited to use was PSX.  I know from your site and from YouTube videos that it is compatible with P3d.  However, when I tried to install it and reran the AIL Generator software, it only found two valid aircraft.  I installed the FLAI scenery package, which worked in FSX, so I don't know why this isn't working.  Is this something on your end, or should I check with FLAI or Real Traffic's support team?  Any help you can provide is appreciated

Regards,

Kevin Davis

Hi.

If you installed the FLAi package in P3D there is no need to run the AILG.

Install PSXT full, and use the installed_liveries and installed_airports as default parameters for the Liveries and Airports folders parameters in the UI.

Hi Nico,

Out of curiosity, since I installed the FLAi package, ran AILG, and found all of those errors, doesn't that mean that the entire system will not work?

No. There are errors in the FLAi package but PSXT only uses the liveries that are ok.

However it cannot be that FLAi has only two valid models?

Anyway just try PSXT out of the box without using AILG first.

Hi Nico,

It seems to be generating the live traffic, but all of the planes in the AI Traffic menu show up as Antonov AN124-100 aircraft types, and have the same livery.  So does his indicate that there is a problem with FLAi?  Should I send the log file?

Change your liveries folder parameter in the UI into installed_liveries

You mean instead of C:\AILGenerator\liveries?

Yes indeed.

You are using the FLAi package. PSXT comes default with a file in its installed_liveries sub folder that has all valid livery titles of FLAI. There is no need for you to install and run AILG.

Hi Nico,

Ok, I tried to rename it, "installed_liveries" in PSXT, but the software came up with a warning in red text stating, "installed_liveries does not exist, current value remains."  What could be the problem here?

Kevin Davis

Check if you see a subfolder installed_liveries under PSXseeconTraffic.

If not, the problem is  that you have not chosen for a full installation.

Download 14.14 again and install with full installation as choice.

Hi Nico

I re-installed AILG and it worked for some reason.  Thanks for your help.  I'm glad I got this to work.  It makes Flight Sim so much fun!  Keep up the good work!
