Hi Mike,Jason,Adam/ (taildragger,PIXELPOKE,Szofran )!I notice that RAIN DROPS are still the same (after Szofran presentations..) , still ugly and not realistic at all ..... can you confirm that`s no change in this matter in fsx ????Personaly for me and other folks the best effect was in Flight Unlimited III.... very realistic and felling as it should be...FUIII OPERATED ON win 95/98 is it so hard to make it better NOW !!?? Sorry, but rain and snow effects using in FS series are still faaaaar away from be even close to call it AS REAL AS IT GETS...As Paul Lange said on his blog THAT IT`S NEVER TOO LATE http://blogs.technet.com/p-12c_pilot/archi.../27/423256.aspxto make changes so... My comment is this: There are 3rd-party raindrop textures for FS2004, FS2002 so I see no reason why they won't appear for FSX also. If indeed the textures are the same, then we already have other alternatives.I'd rather the FS Team spend time on other aspects of the sim, than raindrops.Rhett

Geofa:Great video! Let us know if you have more around.1 question though. Why didn't you bank to the right and avoid completely the cloud? If I need to avoid such complex cloud formation, why don't just request a Higher altitude and fly over them?Sorry for this stupid questions, I have 0 hours of flight experience in real AC.

I was avoiding a huge area of tstorms with a stormscope. Unfortunately to avoid the worst part of the storms-we were being vectored around a military operating area which was hot-and atc didn't want any heading changes from what they assigned as they were keeping me tight against it-the storms were on either side of me. Besides-I like flying into clouds as long as they are not dangerous-it is very spectacular!A baron flys best at 6000 ft. to 8000 ft. -even at its service ceiling of around 18,000(if it could make it there and if I had O2)-these clouds were up to 40,000 ft.-no way to climb above. I don't think atc would have appreciated repeated requests to go up and down constantly either. We were in a "hole" in between unfortunately flying 90 degrees from course for about 100 miles to get a place to cross Lake Michigan.http://mywebpages.comcast.net/geofa/pages/rxp-pilot.jpg
