RKSI Overland P3D V4.5

Recommended Posts

Hello
I just tried to install the airport RKSI of Overland in the P3D v4.5 so far it worked out.
But at night all Edelights are missing and also the taxi lights do not illuminate the ground. Does anyone have this problem ??
By day it looks so good!

Best

iniBuilds has a nice configuration that adds GSX2 SODE jetways and dynamic lights to the old Overland RKSI.

I don't remember for sure if it fixes the missing taxiway lights, but I think it does.

I don't have a solution but just a headsup it looks like Pacsims version will be entering beta testing next week.  Just a FYI for those who are interested in a native v4 version.

It was supposed to be released in May 😞 I hope progress is good now! 🙂

Yes, I already tried the GSX INI with Dynymic Light but it does not solve the problem with the Taxlights or Landing Lights! The ground is not lit.Furthermore, the dynamic lights in the version are very FPS-eating, at no airport I have seen it that way.
It would be great if now finally a new version of RKSI comes, is finally a giant airport in a Sim should not be missing!

Ach du lieber...mein Deutsch verbessert sich wirklich!  😜

Adding the missing lights requires an ADE edit then.

Count me in when PacSim releases RKSI.  I am currently using the one by Robert Catherall in the AVSIM library rather than try to get the old Overland product working in P3Dv4.

I'm not having any problems with landing lights illuminating the ground, except when I forget and leave dyn lighting turned off with acft that only use dynamic lighting (like the PMDG birds).  The framerate hit at night is not due to the iniBuilds dynamic lights--it's the hundreds of light objects in the original scenery.  Night performance was awful in FSX, too.

Not only you, but also I'm waiting for a release. There are many airports that are just missing a good example, VRMM find a must have in aviation.

The taxi lights are actually present, but are loaded into p3d below the ground plane (you can test this by panning a spot view down to ground level until it starts to clip). I couldn't figure a way to fix this.

As for ADE, keep in mind that the stock airport file has an insane number of apron objects that exceeds the max the program will compile. I ended up doing a huge rework on my own, but it was a major project (no issue with landing/taxi lights however).

As has been noted, probably just worthwhile to wait for the new version as Overland's, while a good example, is certainly showing its age.
