Rift Causing Camera Issues

Recommended Posts

Hello all -

Wondering if anyone has seen this issue.  I just did a full reformat and reinstall of P3Dv4.5.  I've troubleshot this down to native VR messing up my wing view cameras... a whole portion of the fuselage & wing disappears as soon as I enable native VR (using Rift).  Dont seem to get the issue on the ground, only in the air.  Pictures below.

Thanks.. I just rolled back to 4.4 client & issue is gone.  Seems like 4.5 is kind of a lemon.

The external views I think is the only problem with 4.5. Haven't come across any others, at least. And 4.5 performs better in VR than 4.4. If external views aren't important to you, I'd recommend staying with 4.5. Also, seems it's just in the air. As long as the plane is on the ground external views seem fine.

As the p3d support forum report on this describes, external view clipping seems to be altitude dependent.

V4.5+ has other improvements so sticking with it, hope lm has v4.6 planned to address this and other refinements.

Exactly my problem too. Especially in vr extremely heavy clipping.
