Problem with Dash8 Q400 module and Saitek Switches

Recommended Posts

Hi,

new to LINDA I have a problem with my Saitek Pro Flight switches.

After I deleted all assignments in P3D, I created a default scheme now I would like now to access the Dash8 specific functions.
Controlling the landing lights, beacon, strobe and transponder with a switches from my joystick would be perfect.

Installed is P3D v4, LINDA v3.0.9 and the Majestic Dash 8 Q-400 module v2.6.

As it seems in LINDA everything is well configured: When I press a switch I see it in the joystick config ui with the assigned action and in the console output the button id and a bitmap, but in my simluator cockpit nothing happens.
Only the default FSX commands seems to work.

I reloaded the LUA engine and restarted the sim.

Whats wrong?

Thank you.

If I choose the log options "Log LUA events" the is a continious feed of event output in the console. The console form becomes nearly inresponsive due to that.

Does it is normal behaviour?

Yes, it is a big load of information at this time.

In general for your problem: have you enabled "sync to sim"?

It has to be orange if enabled. Otherwise you wouldn't see any actions when you press a button

Yes I think so, there is a orange box around the plane module and when I press a button the corresponding entry appears.

Btw. I tried the FLS A320 and everythink works like expected.

How could I see which command was sent or arrived in P3D?

Have you been able to solve your problem? If not here are some pointers. I can't help you much as my Flt Sim is in pieces at the moment.

Does your Saitek Panel work with a Default FSX aircraft using the standard Saitek setup? Is the Saitek Panels checkbox ticked on the Setup LINDA page? For the Switch Panel switches to work you need to assign an OnPress action and an OnRelease action. Typically these are for example LIGHT_on for OnPress and LIGHT_off for OnRelease. These would be selected from the specific aircraft module library.

Please do not post logs on the forum. Instead follow the Fault Diagnosis Procedure thread and email the log files and the config_hid.lua for the aircraft.
