June 30, 20196 yr Hi, Garmin has released a new GTN trainer 6.62 and we're very excited with this. We're currently working on the update to make our GTN product compatible and we're sorry for the inconvenience with the RXP installer failing to download the latest trainer for now. In the meantime, you can download the previous trainer compatible with our current v2.5.18 Latest compatible standalone GTN trainer installer 6.50.1 (as individual components): http://download.garmin.com/avtrainer/launcher/2.3.1.0/Launcher.Setup.msihttp://download.garmin.com/avtrainer/gtn/6.50.1.0/GTN.Setup.msi Latest compatible database installer 6.62.0 (as individual components): http://download.garmin.com/avtrainer/databases/2.4.0.0/Databases.Setup.msihttp://download.garmin.com/avtrainer/databases/2.4.0.0/DBs1.cabhttp://download.garmin.com/avtrainer/databases/2.4.0.0/DBs2.cabhttp://download.garmin.com/avtrainer/databases/2.4.0.0/DBs3.cabhttp://download.garmin.com/avtrainer/databases/2.4.0.0/DBs4.cabhttp://download.garmin.com/avtrainer/databases/2.4.0.0/DBs5.cabhttp://download.garmin.com/avtrainer/databases/2.4.0.0/DBs6.cabhttp://download.garmin.com/avtrainer/databases/2.4.0.0/DBs7.cab [ADDENDUM - 02JUL19] The trainer is necessary but not all trainers will work. The list of compatible trainer versions is documented in the RXP GTN User's Manual but some of them are no longer available for download. The oldest compatible version is GTN trainer 6.21 which link is still available. It runs fine with the latest database released a few days ago as well. If any of the links above don't work, you can still install an older version during the time we work on the update: Edited July 2, 20196 yr by RXP

July 1, 20196 yr Author @StLu1000 thank you for the notice, it seems they've pulled the older database installer out. I've updated my post above with the correct links to the latest DB installer.
July 2, 20196 yr This link doesn't work! http://download.garmin.com/avtrainer/databases/2.4.0.0/DBs5.cab
July 2, 20196 yr would someone above please explain in steps how to use the files listed above to get the GTN 750 to work in X-Plane? do these files replace other files? thank you. DBs5 link won't load. Edited July 2, 20196 yr by RXP
July 2, 20196 yr Author @scrib74 simply download them all, put them all in the same folder, them run each .msi to install. The link is now correct (the forum has added random characters to the URL) Edited July 2, 20196 yr by RXP
July 3, 20196 yr Ok thanks, can we expect an updated version anytime soon? I am pretty sure I am running low on activations since Iinstalled and reinstalled the plug in while troubleshooting the black screen...
July 3, 20196 yr Author Yes you can expect it anytime soon. How soon is the question and for now I can only say that besides support we're allocating all resources on this (yes this means the G500 gets another delay as well). It doesn't seem too much changing from trainer v6.50.1 so far, but we won't know for sure until 100% done.
July 4, 20196 yr Okay, I installed the Garmin trainer version above. It works well with the recent GTN plugin. Paul Schmidt We're fools to make war on our brothers in arms.
July 4, 20196 yr Yep. This is difficult. For $10, I'd put up with it. Even purchasing it did my head in, tried to buy the discount two pack, nope, couldn't. As with a lot of 'how to' documents, their usually poorly written in shorthand by a person who already knows whats required and expects you already do as well, and if that was the case, there would be no need for the 'how to'. Some one needs to do a step by step install video. Edited July 4, 20196 yr by cyclic412
July 5, 20196 yr Actually, I hate step-by-step videos. I prefer explanations of the necessary things to do and why they are necessary. That helps me to sort out problems myself. In the case of this software, I made my guesses on how it works in cooperation with the trainer. But a thorough explanation would help. Paul Schmidt We're fools to make war on our brothers in arms.
