FURTHER DETAILS OF VISTA

Recommended Posts

Just one more reason for me to stick with XP for a while. No version of Vista is "needed" for FSX. Three choices for the "home" user? Give me a break. Insanity.Doug

Intel 10700K @ 5.1Ghz, Asus Hero Maximus motherboard, Noctua NH-U12A cooler, Corsair Vengeance Pro 32GB 3200 MHz RAM, RTX 2060 Super GPU, Cooler Master HAF 932 Tower, Thermaltake 1000W Toughpower PSU, Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit, 100TB of disk storage. Klaatu barada nickto.

Not enough info to know, but I think the only big difference between XP Home and XP Pro is that home doesn't support multi-monitors. So probably good bet that Vista Home Basic won't support multi-monitors either. All I know is I won't be upgrading to Vista unless it's proven that MSFS works much better on Vista than XP. For some reason I doubt that will be the case. I haven't seen any new features in Vista that I can't live without, simply do not want, or aren't already available by 3rd parties.Am I the only one whose biggest wish for Vista is that Movie Maker and most of the other "features" can be uninstalled or disabled without having to edit the registry? :)Matt

Well VAT (Sales Tax) is 17.5% and I'm not sure about the rest of the charges, however there is no way they make up 50% of the costs. I mean technically with sales tax around 5% in the USA (I guess) we've only accounted for a 12.5% price hike. The CDs are made in the Ireland so shipping shouldn't be an issue. And despite the fact you pay for a British copy, you still have to (or at least I did) set it up for UK use. All the defaults are for American time, currency, units, keyboards and language. I've known it to vex quite a few people when they press @ and they get ", especially when they want to enter e-mail addresses on web forms!

But don't think I'm alone.http://www.windowsmarketplace.com/reviews....d=247103&stext=http://windowsxp.devx.com/articles/xpoverview/default.aspBoth of these sites imply that multi-mon support is limited to Pro.Matt
