FS2crew for the 747 8i expansion

Recommended Posts

Just to be sure,

I am an happy user of the voice version of FS2crew for the 747-400  queen of the sky.

Does the voice control version work identically with the 747-8 expansion pack of PMDG?

Thank you

Hi Stefano,

Yes it does... the only thing is we can't interface with the ECL in the 8 model.

Cheers,

sorry Byork...what do you mean with ECL?

roger. Thank you.

Does it mean that I can use the voice control to run the checklist and the copilot will react (like the 747 400) and the ECL has to be done manually by me (or skipped). correct?

And I should also point out FS2Crew only works in the 8 model in P3D v4, not FSX due to a tech limit.

No FS2Crew for PMDG 747-8 for FSX???!!! If i knew it i wouldn't buy the extension from PMDG. Very sad... :(

I understand but it's not possible even if i stop using some windows like zoomed ones? We did that on previous pmdg planes for fs passengers to work!

Just to inform other FSX players that maybe read this post, commenting the panel.cfg worked perfect and i have FS2Crew for 747-8i too! 😊

Hello All;

Just so that I fully understand.

  • The latest version of FS2Crew will not support PMDG 747-8i for FSX just P3D  period
  • Or will it support other features but just not ECL (Electronic Check List)?

Also Stratos mentioned editing the Panel Config file. I know it's not advertised (and maybe not officially supported)  but what exactly was the changed that is being referenced. The -8i is my default aircraft for flying and it would be a big disappointment if I can't use FS2Crew with it.

Thanks very much.

Kindest Regards.

Forshaw.

It only officially supports P3D.

If you modify the panel.cfg file in FSX, you can make it work.

You'd need to comment out Windows  you don't plan on needing to make "space" so to speak.

Most people would comment out the zoom DU windows.
