Hey Guys.  Bought a used digital storm computer.  I find myself in a situation of having to reinstall windows and rebuild my sim.  Just looking for everybody's opinion.  Current system has a subpar MB.  The Asus Z390-P Prime.  Would it be worth it to upgrade to something like the maximus xi hero prior to reinstalling?  Right now I don't overclock my 9700k, but I'm wondering if upgrading this now will save me problems later.

If you replaced your MOBO, of course you would have to re-seat your CPU chip as well.  Don't know if any of this would affect your new rig's warranty?

Warranty is not transferable. But a good point

I have the Z370 version of this motherboard, and it has been fine.  Run at 5.0ghz all day long
