ParkPosGenerator Question

Recommended Posts

I have a fair number of airport addons so I was wondering how does one fit a lot of airport scenery overrides into the Park Pos Generator when there are only 10 available slots? If someone can show me the light please.

Cheers,

John

Hi John,

PPG searches recursively from a folder including the its sub folders, so if you enter a path above all your addons you only need one slot ...

For example if you have your airport addons all below D:\Addons you only need D:\Addons.

If your addons are in the flight simulator tree, you only need a path to the top node of your flight simulator.

Since PPG version 10.0 (just released) you can, for drives other then C:\ just specify say D:\ and it will search your complete D drive for airports.

Regards,

Nico

Post your Log.txt please. I might be caused by a lack of liveries from different airlines and types. We can see that in the Log.txt

Well in your log I only see 2 parked aircraft listed, I'd expect 21 ..

EDIT: don't know if the airport file that you are using is the one you wanted. It was generated June 23, 2019.  If you recently ran PPG in order to obtain an airport file for Ottawa, you should remove CYOW.xml from the PSXseeconTraffic\parked_updates folder.

That's my point. I should be seeing at least 12 parked planes at YOW. For a change I switched to YYZ and there are just a measly 4 parked planes. Your application recognises that I am using the  Fly Tampa YYZ product but only 4 planes when there should be at least 30. I don't understand what it is that I'm doing wrong.

Strange, you have sufficient liveries and it does not generate "no park at .. " messages...

Is this problem new for you in 15.3 or did you have that in 15.2 too?

And could you post your CYOW.xml file?

Aha, I see the "problem"... You have generated airport files without [Airline,Aircraft type] options  Then you have to wait till the airport file is updated real time with arriving and departing aircraft before you can see the wanted 21 aircraft. (You only got 2 lately because you had two real time options in that file).

You better run PPG again with the checkbox "Generate [Airline, Aircrfat type ..." and so on ticked.

Okay Nico. I am doing that now as I type. Thanks for this.. Quick question though.. when I loaded P3D just now I see a UPS B744 F parked at the FedEx cargo ramp. Sure enough the daily Fedex A300 600 comes in and taxis to its FedEx ramp but the UPS aircraft doesn't disappear and the FedEx plane just hangs around just before its chosen spot. How can I get the UPS to clear out of the way so that the rightful Fedex aircraft can park in its assigned spot?

Tick in PSXT Collision avoid. ground: Live X Parked

If the FedEx plane comes very close to the UPS plane the UPS plane will disappear.
