Database issues after updating..... (resolved)

I love my Garmin, but I am a bit suprised that new updates not working are announced here. This is the second time I have tried flawed updates. The official (?) fix at top of this forum, just forced me installing the latest updates of the installer. No other option. The result was no database.

Luckily I found this link: https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/557253-gtn750-missing-databases-on-latest-update-simple-fix/. This worked for me. It gave me the possibility install 2.4.0 again. and rhe databses are back! Thanks a lot to mykejb!😁

Yes how unfortunate they release a new update, only 3 weeks after the previous one, right after we've just released our update we've worked on in between...

Back to the drawing board, hopefully only the DB might have been updated and not the whole GTN.

Well perhaps a clear announcement so others do not inadvertently update and have to struggle through the fix like others in this thread.

I updated Garmin Trainers to v2.5 before updating RXP, but I dont think it make a difference.

I confirm: the update works.

I also now have access to Canada Charts 😄
