Starting gate idea

Recommended Posts

I have an idea that I haven't seen mentioned..In the 'Create Flight' screen, I'd like to have a map view of the airport I pick so I can just click on a location and say 'That's the gate/ramp I want my aircraft to be parked'. At the moment, selecting a start position from a list of gate/ramp numbers, usually involves guesswork and a bit of slewing..;-)I wonder if this feature would be simple enough to add utilising the AFCAD file.ThanksSteve

I agree this would be a helpful feature and I'd love to see it implemented if possible. I second your idea and would like to see that done on the arrival airport as well. Not so much as an actual spot but it would be nice if the atc would reconize the airline/parking code like how it does for AI planes and direct you to the proper area that you set in the config file.

Wonderful idea Steve! I would love to see that included. It would certainly take the guesswork out of parking spots.John

Talking about setup screens, it would be also good to see on the 'Select Aircraft' screen a simple drop down for the panel state (ie. so its not necessary to load the Cessna each time and go through shutting down the engine and loading the real plane)...
