Replace Sky force 3D

ASCA is not an alternative to EF? EF weakness (or strength) is that is that is a complex app. Maybe does not meet your profile. It also has matured through several updates.

SF is a very good option, then ASCA probably.

Please read my entire comment. I argued with EF to explain, why I went back to ASCA. EF, well have a look at the rex forum (3D-clouds, water, square overcast etc). But EF will for shure be the best environmental tool when most problems are fixed and still I am a fan of it. I said also, that SkyForce has much much better textures than ASCA and I use it in combination with ActiveSky and PTA.

You use what you feel works best for you.

Here I use FsGlobal Real World Weather + ASCA clouds + custom sky and sun + PTA

When EF is free of the current issues I will buy it too. For now it would only help me smoothing the weather probided by FSGRW that sometimes changes to abrupt.

Currently flying towards Crete over Italy with a nice gap between the cumulus clouds left and right 🤗

Hello Gerard,

Wow, nice shots. I tested also FSGRW, but returned back to ActiveSky because of the abrupt injections. I'm through so many combinations, but FSGRW plus ASCA is absolutely new to me. Looks really great. By the way: I use your all month presets with PTA - simply the best 🙂

Is it just me or does this lower flattened layer look really ugly?

Isn’t this JoeFackel who likes to give  negative comments most of the time ... ? 🤔

The lower clouds are not cumulus clouds.  Look up the metar for Bologna at the time of the vid and you will know ...

FSRWG is the only weather engine that syncs clouds over a network.

ASP4 is not capable of this and REX isn’t too.

Hopefully newer versions of AS and perhaps the new REX weather engine will be ....

Therefore I am looking at EF , but at this moment only for the weather smoothing feature. I do not want issues so I am waiting till they all have been fixed..

I think you would like EF...considering that you have a cockpit setup, you would be spared from all the 'cockpit too bright' issues 😁
