Some commercials are pretty good...

Recommended Posts

Imaginative and hitting a new target audience.  I saw it for the first time this evening.

A woman enters her apartment after work.  She throws her hand bag in the corner, flips off her shoes, and walks to the refrigerator.  She opens the door and several cans of Coors are on the shelf.  She picks one up, closes the refrigerator door, and retires to an easy chair.  Then she moves her hand behind her and unsnaps and drags out her bra.  She throws it on the table next to the chair.  Then the message pops up.  Coors, celebrating the removing of the bra!

Ya gotta love that one.

The tires are worn.  The shocks are shot.  The steering is wobbly.  But the engine still runs fine.

Advertisers seem to think the public is full of superficial Cretins. Or they know it is. They spend a lot of money on research. I hate to think commercials represent the intelligence or character of the public at large.

Commercials run the gamut from the silly and ridiculous to pretty intelligent and humorous Vic.   The thing you have to remember is modern man is only the missing link between primitive man and civilized man.

I though I was the only one I remembered this. I can't believe it was over 20 years ago. Now I feel old... or rather vintage haha

In the UK, duriing the late 80's/early 90's Carling Black Label made some fantastic adverts.

18:06 is my favourite, brilliant advert!

I agree that the "Dam Busters" ad was the best, but the "King Arthur Returns Excalibur" was the 2nd best!

By far, this for me was the funniest airline commercial and I appreciated it more finally flying on British Airways non-stop from Phoenix-London and back a month later in 2017....
