What types of screenshots would you like to see next?

This isn't a demand for new shots, as I understand there's probably a method to the madness of news updates between now and release. With that in mind, this thread itself may be a moot point. Nevertheless, I'm sure we've all got those points of curiosity we'd like either confirmed, denied, or demonstrated in the form of screenshots.So... what do you want to see?Me, I'd like to see a cockpit view of a wet runway at night. I'd like to see how the lights on both the aircraft and the ground interact with wet reflective surfaces.Doing this from the virtual cockpit would kill two birds with one stone. ;)

.. wet runway.. night time.. virtual cockpit.. yep, that about covers it! Nice one. In fact, if I might add one more thing - off to the left, some planes parked at the terminal, with taxi lights on and apron lights covering the area. If the lighting is modelled as nicely as the other parts of FSX appear to be, it could make for a really nice shot!To be happy, I'd see: a) natural light sources as opposed to the current 'bands of white' :( other aircraft and surrounding sources illumnated, not just black c) reflection of water off wet tarmac (that's just the cream!)Any ACES/Microsoft folks care to give me a rough idea of how happy I might expect to be if I ever see such a shot? :-)

I would love a nightshot too. I just hope the landing lights look better. Also maybe a shot similar to this.http://www.airliners.net/open.file/990162/L/Looks like the Captain likes to fly like I do and that's looking at the eye candy during a landing.

For me, here's some things I would like to see.A screenshot of the new high-resolution mesh for Mount Rainier and any new scenery that may be placed there.A screenshot of the updated Bell JetRanger virtual cockpit - in hopes that they've finally fixed that accuracy problem with the chin bubbles.A night shot of the city of Seattle taken from a 100-foot hover position over Elliott Bay. I want to see if the night light texturing in skyscrapers reflects off of the water.

A nice screenshot showing that the VFR Photographic Scenery and high resolution Terrain Mesh of the British Isles has been incorporated into FSX, thereby saving me a fortune in add-on costs :-)Chris Low.

IIRC, a "beauty shot" of the mountain was one of the pre-release screenshots for FS2004. I've been very impressed with some of the Seattle area screenshots released so far. Looks like they're using photo textures for the downtown area. In the one shot of the Beaver over the sound with the stadiums in the background, I think I could make out the Uwajimaya shopping center in Chinatown, just NE of Seahawks Stadium. It stands out to me because I go there every chance I can get. Of course, it could just be wishful thinking on my part, but the bottom line is it's looking great so far. :)

Bigger airports, big cities, etc. Let me see Chicago and/or New York airports and cities day and night.

I think the Bell VC was visible in CES demo.

Quote:+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++I think the Bell VC was visible in CES demo. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Oh boy.. It looks like I'll be flying with Owen Hewitt's Bell JetRanger for a long time, then. (I think I saw that video)I wish Microsoft would finally take a real hard look at the actual cockpit of a JetRanger and then a hard look at the VC of the default JetRanger. There's at least a dozen or more things that I can count that are grossly inaccurate. Here's just a few of them.1. Chin bubbles. They're just too small and incorrectly shaped.2. Instrument panel contours and overall shape (last time I checked, it wasn't just simply a "rounded box")3. The rear of the cabin has been forgotten since the days of Flight Simulator 98. 4. How about an annunciator in the VC that actually works?I could go on, but I won't. I don't want to further detract from the actual topic at hand.

I live in Shelton, Washington about a mile south of Sanderson Field.

Could you see all those issues unfixed in the CES video?

<>Nice place. I used to overfly it on my way to Hoquiam for breakfast. Did a couple touch-and-goes, too, just to relieve the bordom. Seattle to Hoquiam in a J3 gives you time to pause and reflect.

<That was my question. Maybe we should hire him as a tester!

For me:More Airports, KLAX, KSNA, KSAN etc.Desert and MountainsSky color changes to darker blue.Visibility colors with haze, gradutated visibility.Clouds, especially Thunderstorms.Different phazes of the day during different seasons.Las Vegas surounding area in the winter time to see if the snow is still there like in fs2002, and 2004.

no pics for me. Id like info!crossing runway support instead of having to trick the game causing ATIS to spit out tons of runways and the occasional AI landing on one of thembetter ATC support for sid/starsAI uses sid/stars and actual flight plans following waypoints instead of polar routesmore accurate roads rivers coastlines landclass and streams so we dont have to buy them in an addon for each continentbetter airport and city scenery so we dont have to buy countless addonsbetter default afcads, no more airports with zero parking spaces, please!ATC gives better directions and vectors ai and you into holds or on different headings for a bit to help traffic flow at busy airspacesATC gives clearance to airplanes to depart quickly while another airplane is on finalATC gives better directions to land at certain runways, ie heavys dont use 19L and R to takeoff at SFOThe ability to close and open one side of a runway for takeoffs and landings instead of having to do both sides for it to workI could go on but thats just a short listScreenshots are nice and all, but its just eyecandy for what people demand to be called a simulator not a gameAnd how about no texture masking in the distance, the bland generic square that surrounds your airplane looks awful, especially when above 15k feet no more north pole, south pole limits
