Bahamas Scenery Pack 2-2 Beta Available for Download

Featured Replies

I just uploaded Bahamas Scenery Pack 2-2 Beta: Northern Bahamas/Turks & Caicos, New Providence, and Andros Island.  It should be available in the Library for download soon.

Sorry for the long delay but the summer has been a busy one for me and I haven't had as much time to work on scenery.

For Screenshots go to: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1KP7Fz0W1GhKLBi-VWXRM_2AMy1314XPH

If you want to download now go to: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Xz7XUADG0X7s-xk2JLw9pY-C29cJsNFB/view?usp=sharing

I have added exclusion areas around MYNN (and all other airports) which should prevent bleedthrough by other default airports including replacements in ORBX.

I have greatly simplified installation.  Everything is now in just two scenery folders.

I've continued to make tweaks/improvements to all scenery areas.

I'm about 2/3 of the way done with the Exumas and hope to have that scenery completed by the end of October.

Please Enjoy!

Hello,

Compatible with ORBX? Global, Vector, LC North America and airport Pack?

Thanks in advance

You should not have any conflicts with ORBX scenery.

I have added exclusion areas around all of the airports to prevent bleedthrough that some were seeing for some ORBX airport replacements.  If you have ORBX landclass products, you will see their landclass textures in this scenery (not the default textures).  From what others have reported it looks good with their textures- probably even better.  The landclass scenery maps I have created tell P3D which tiles go in what locations.  For example it will map a marsh-wetland tile at location X.  If you have ORBX land class scenery you will see their tile for marsh-wetland, otherwise the default tile will appear.

Excellent as I have the ORBX LC

Does it matter where your AOP's are installed in the library when working together w ORBX or is the default install of your AP's sufficient?

Thanks Again!

The readme file in the download describes where to place my scenery in the scenery library.   In a nutshell, place it above any scenery (in the library list) you want it to replace.  So I would move it higher in the list than your ORBX global scenery.  That tells P3D that you want my Bahamas vector, land-,  and water-class scenery to be drawn instead of the ORBX vector/LC/WC.  For areas other than the Bahamas, and other parts of the Bahamas for which I have not yet created scenery, you will see ORBXs vector/LC/WC scenery.

The scenery looks amazing installed over the ORBX stuff. But during night time there's the problem that static aircraft and some buildings are fully iluminated (as it was daytime). Maybe it has to do with me using Tomatoshade. But as I usually fly by day, it's not a big deal.

I think that is just the way those models normally illuminate at night.  I see it too.  Most of the time it isn't too bad.  It is one of the downsides of using the default models.
