I love the most F1 2019, a steam game though its interface is a bit clunky, the mouse does not work within it.  I also like "Road to Knoxville" an old school sprint car game, but it is abandonware for a small price, because it forgets to see the joystick controller sometimes.  Grand Theft Auto I did not like so much, I just like straight racing, in real time, where the only object is to participate and complete the race, whether you win or not.

I have a very old Star Wars title, Rogue Squadron 3D, which was inexpensive, on steam and quite cool to play, for me the perfect POV space action game since I came of age as a teen when the original Star Wars movies came out....  My other three sims of choice--No Limits Coaster Sim, Trainsim 2019, and Jack Nicklaus golf finally ended up by a game, not a sim, Hoyle''s Card Games....

My one and only fav online game, is https://www.warzone.com/SinglePlayer/Play

aka "Warzone" it is based on the old Risk Wargame, and so far I have one 19 out of 20 matches, it is a free online game without the blood and guts of 3D shoot em ups.  I prefer in shoot em ups to see the virtual bad guys completely vaporized, over and done with, rather than titillating myself with blood and gore and Robbery, Assault and Battery... Tongue in Cheek...

How big is the market???? - How long is a piece of string??

take a look at just one simulator game "Ace Combat" on PS -  Xbox - PC - that is flying by the seat of the pants

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ace_Combat - and the numbers in the table who fly on internet streaming

The latest episode AC - 7 released in Jan this year had passed 1million sales by 2 months ago

Use of this game to many - is restricted due to its multiplayer role - which puts off people like myself

who wishes to go alone - nevertheless - is this the market that MS2020 sees for the "other" market for flying our

type of simulators. Personally - I use single player games like  Rise of flight   - Wings of Prey etc - in their simulator  roles

as opposed to the "arcade" play - for the challenge - and they are not that easy to fly.

"Vive the Revolution!"

There are times when I wish that I could return to the day when my first ever PC was delivered to my door. The year was 1992.......a time when FS4 was king of the flight simulators, X-Wing was king of the space combat simulators, and Formula One Grand Prix was king of the race simulators. A time when I did not have to worry about whether every knob/dial/switch worked in my virtual cockpit, or if the scenery that I was flying over looked like the real world. A time when chasing TIE Fighters between convoys of Rebel transport ships rendered in coloured vector graphics was the pinnacle of PC games technology and excitement.

A time that seems so long ago......

It kinda does seem a long time ago now.

I don't think there can be too much nostalgia for the late 80's/early 90's.  That was quite a time.  If  some of you reading this were too young to have experienced that time...man you missed out.   Not just in FS and X-Wing, but in everything.

You all in the UK even had guys like Michael Heseltine (aka "Tarzan") on the scene.  How could that NOT be interesting?
