May be my old eye's but looking at the suggested post I did not see anything mentioning a release date for P3d...?

I doubt you'll find any mention of a release date there.  They're pretty tight-lipped about release dates these days.  I think he posted you a link to the preview thread so that you might glean a little more info from it though.

Given that the linked thread says they were in "alfa" (their spelling) in July, I'd say its a little ways off yet.
