Display Resolution Message on Startup

Recommended Posts

Both my display monitors are running at 1920 x 1080 but every so often when I first launch P3D I immediately get a message that states...

Prepar3D requires a minimum display resolution of 1024 x 720.
Would you like to change your display resolution?

Whether I say YES or NO nothing happens. So I just restart P3D again and all is OK.
Why does this happen and what can I do to fix it.

Thanks Ray I reviewed this but the options mentioned in the post are not available in the current Windows 10 Compatibilty menu - it seems that post was in 2016 so it is dated.

I posted the issue as well on the LM Prepar3D forum.

@Dane Watson, one potential solution is to delete Prepar3d.cfg and let it generate a new one. You'll need to set all your preferences again though.

I had this same problem that happened a few times, a couple of weeks ago. Then the problem just disappeared, and haven't had it since.   ????

I am wondering if it is something to do with the last Windows 10 update which installed some sort of system which is supposed to improve game play.

These messages started around that same time just a couple of weeks ago.

I am going to ignore it for now as I really don't want to delete my prepar3d.cfg file at this time.
