dealing with IPv6 address as server

Recommended Posts

The instructions in the P2A manual about inserting one's own internet address in place of the one supplied in order to get rid of the opening advisory is clear. I want to do that.

However, I can only find a IPv6 (128 bit) address for my machine and P2A won't accept it, so the pop-up warning still appears.

The IP address is an XPUIPC setting.

To get the IPv4 address, open an command prompt in Windows and type in: ipconfig

You will see both the IPv4 and IPv6 addresses.
