UGCX INTEGRATION:

Recommended Posts

Hi i bought the fs2crew pmdg 737 ngx reboot last year and i remember there was an option for UGCX INTEGRATION. Now that UGCX has been released and i just bought that too today i'm just wondering what this option does?

It doesn't do anything... it's just a place holder 😉

I now need to begin the process of integrating UGCX with the FS2Crew's.

All you need to do in the meantime is press Hard Mute (HM) on the FS2Crew Main panel when you're talking to the UGCX ground crew if using voice control in FS2Crew 737, 777, 747, etc.

This way you wont be communicating with the UGCX ramp agents and the ramp agents in that FS2Crew product at the same time.

If you're using button control in FS2Crew, you really don't need to do anything.

Best,

I was wondering about existing product integration myself.  Do you plan to integrate UGCX with all existing FS2Crew products, or maybe just the P3DV4 ones.  I ask because I still use FS2Crew with the FSX PMDG 747 and JS4100.  I would understand if it was too much to ask to integrate it with all products, but maybe the more the better.  I also use FS2crew with P3Dv3 and P3Dv4, but these days I am using P3Dv4 more often than anything else, for obvious reasons.  In P3Dv3 I still use FS2Crew with the PMDG NGX, Aerosoft Airbus, and Q400.

Another question somewhat related to integration; some of the existing FS2Crew products have the option to talk to ground crew to connect and disconnect equipment.  Were you planning on adding this as a universal option for UGCX?  It would be a great feature.  Maybe the user could select the option in the aircraft configuration menu, so the program would know which aircraft it was dealing with, as it probably wouldn't be needed if the existing FS2Crew aircraft addon was being used?

Cheers,

Hi,

Some will be FSX and P3D v4.

Others will be P3D v4 only.

Priority will simple be disabling FS2Crew ground control when using Voice control when UGCX is detected as being running so you're not talking to two different people (unless you use Hard Mute).

I'm still thinking about ground equipment.  The problem is in planes like the PMDG 737 and 747, we have to go through the FMC and literally press the button on the FMC like you would to connect/disconnect ground equipment.

Basically we have to perform the same steps you do since the PMDG SDK does not offer direct control of the ground equipment.

For other planes, that's not an issue.

It's all very complex 🙂

Indeed, I thought it would be complex.  Thanks for considering these options.

I am loving UGCX so far.  I am yet to test in combination with another FS2Crew aircraft, but simple tests have all been going well for me.

Cheers,

Glad you're loving it, and this is only V1.0 😉  That's what makes it all worthwhile for us 🙂
