How to Set BETA and Reverse Thrust RWDesigns Twin Otter V2

Recommended Posts

Hoping Someone here can help a FSX transferee to XPlane 11. I have a Saitek Pro Stick and Throttle which I have used to set up the Aerosoft Twin Otter Betta and Reverse thrust using FSUIPC in FSX no problem.

I have attempted to do the same with the RWDesign Twin Otter V2 but am struggling to find a sweet spot for both Beta and Reverse thrust.

I have set up the Carenado PA31T using the XPlane Defaults by ticking the XPlane "has beta/reverse detents" box and very pleased with that but don't seem to be able to emulate that with the RWDesign Twin Otter.

If anyone has been able to set it up I would very much appreciate a steer in the right direction.

Cheers Pete

I use a CHProducts throttle and just went into Joysticks and set the beta and reverse there. Xplane has very extensive joystick settings including setting curves.

That's good to know. Like PBest I'm struggling with that aspect of the RWD Twin Otter too using a Saitek Throttle quadrant. I created a profile for helos that has collective mapped to my throttle quadrant, so I was thinking I could do something similar for the DHC-6. Your comment confirms that though and I'm going to tinker with my throttle in settings.

Never mind. I had FS on the brain. But speaking of Beta thrust. i found the Carenado SAAB 340 works great. I believe it has to be modeled though.🙂
