P3D v4.5 Hotfix 2 released (26 Sep 19)

Based on the list of fixes and improvements, I reckon that I only need to update the client.

I tend to agree, based on the changelog, Content fixes only effect default F-16 users, and the single scenery fix effect only "certain auto-gen object's transparency values". Eventually I'll update all the components though.

Thank goodness...the PBR shimmery fix is all I care about!  This jet and livery was the worst offender of any of my addons...now it's stunning again!  LM made PBR great again!

Hopefully that’s something they can update fairly quickly.

FSLabs is not know for their speedy updates. Especially when they already have something in works.

Usually PTA always provides an update after each P3D Release, but it would be better to check via their official channels.

OK, who am I kidding, I'm a compulsive early adopter... 🤣 I tried and it works, looks like the shaders haven't been modified. 👍

REX EF working? I am so utterly happy they shut down their forums where something like that could have been discussed...

All I did and understand only thing that has to be updated (P3D.exe).  Downloaded the whole thing though.  If I have to, I'll uninstall scenery and install scenery.

Thanks for the heads-up. A quick technical question: does PTA work correctly with the new hotfix?

Nope. Has to be updated just like Tomatoshade. There are some initialisation  issues.

ok i got the client installed.  Did not attempt the content/scenery/SDK.  I guess I don't have to worry about those?

Me too.  But then it's easier for the  developer  (read not the user.)

Maybe a User 2 User forum here on Avsim.com  ala PMDG etal??
