I don't want to offend anybody, but...

Here is a suggestion, why don't you outside the aircraft pilots just stick with the CS 757 as it is since you don't seem to really need a cockpit anyway? Much to busy staring at the wheels or flaps or that the second rivet from left is bigger than the one next to it. :-hmmmI'm normally just a lurker but this whole conversation has gotten extremely out of control and out of context. Will

Will, I've purchased both the PSS 757 and the CS 757 blocks that are available. To me, the PSS 757 visual model is not nearly as nice as the CS 757. It's not just about the little details like the third rivet on the inboard slats, the CS 757 is simply FAR more detailed in my opinion. As I said, I own both, so I am trying to create the best 757 in my mind.

Agreed. And this whole conversation is out of control? Really? We're just exchanging ideas on how to make a merge work correctly. You obviously have a very different definition of out of control than I do. If you are happy with the PSS model, then so be it. This is obviously not the thread for you. There are plenty more threads that I'm sure will be more to your liking.Anyway, thanks for that Tim, I'll try copying the VC sections and see what I come up with.

I also own both the CS757 and the PSS 757 and I wouldn't argue that the CS model looks better. But, and this is a big but! It's at the cost of a huge frame rate hit. I have a 3.6 P4 cpu, an ATI X800-XT video card and 2 gigs of system memory and the CS 757 drags my system down to 4 or 5 FPS.. And nothing and I stress Nothing in the cockpit works as it should and it flys like the default 737. All that VC and Model detail came at a very high POLY count causing the frame rate hit and no merge is going to help that. I spend less than 1% of my flight time outside the cockpit and I like virtual cockpits ONLY if they actually work. The CS757 is no longer on my hard drive and I don't intend to buy block F "if" and when CS finally finishes it and their will be no merge for me because the terrible frame rates problem will still exist. My frame rates are locked at 25 and that exactly what I get when I'm in the PSS cockpit 2D or VC so that is where I will fly a 757 from. Will

Hey guys, I seemed to get the merge right. But, I'm using the no-VC model and my framerates are way too low (5 fps). Without the PSS panel, frames are constant at 28 fps. This leads me to beleive it's the PSS panel. The only thing I you need to add to the PSS panel.cfg is the Icon window from the CS panel. I also noted that you need to use -200 panel entries for the -200 and -300 panel entries for the -300. When I tried to use the -200 icon window entry with the -300, I had the same problem with no gear, etc. One last thing, I copied all of the aircraft.cfg settings from the PSS planes into the CS plane except for the light and contact section.

Hey Ryan, I did the exact same thing you did. Took me forever to figure out I needed that icon section in there haha. My FPS are also horrid. I tried removing the CS VC, but that did not help. I then just switched to stock PSS and my frames were still horrid. 5-13 FPS at cruise is simply unnacceptable. Not sure what could be doing that. I've tried adjusting all the EFIS settings as per PSS instructions, as well as a complete reinstall. If we could get the FPS taken care of, I would be in 757 heaven.

I defintaly agree, if onyl the FPS problem could be resolved. I too spent quite some time figuring out what makes the CS 757 "work".
