Important:

Version V2.6 is an REQUIRED UPDATE.  UGCX will not function without it.

  • Fixed issue with sparks and other odd effects.

V2.4 Change Log

Date: 28 JANUARY 2022

New Features and Changes:

  • GSX compatibility issue fixed.
  • Enhanced scenery reading speed for ORBX GLOBAL VECTOR.
  • Ramp agents and ground vehicles updated to ensure they cannot be deleted by other apps.

V2.0 Change Log

Date: 30 May 2020

New Features and Changes:

  • Pushback support for the Majestic Dash 8 and an additional pushback option for the PMDGs called the FREEZE METHOD.  This new option is available in “Aircraft Profile” menu.   With this method enabled, UGCX will move the aircraft by essentially slewing it, rather than physically pushing it.  Note that the wheels will not turn.  PMDG users may find their pushbacks smoother when using the FREEZE METHOD.  If using the Dash 8, you must use the FREEZE METHOD.

  • Fixed Add-on.xml file reader exception handling.
  • Fixed cache loader to read only airports with runways, not heliports.
  • Fixed Top-down view issue with Window 10 animations.
  • Fixed Canada language selection.
  • Fixed and improved marshalling onto stand guidance.
  • Fixed rare cases where the tow bar would disconnect visually from tug and nosewheel.
  • New Options Menu function to exclude “heliports” or any other desired airport by ICAO ID or Scenery Name.  This prevents, for example, heliports from being read.  The new option is called: “EXCLUDE AIRPORT OR SCENERY AREA”.

ugcx2a.png

  • Added a new aircraft offset: “MAIN EXIT DOOR”, which helps UGCX define the final stop position when marshalling onto the stand.
  • New feature to scan the nearest airport’s ICAO name to improve scenery cache loading speed.
  • Added a small window to allow users to move the marshaller’s location during the following ground services.  This is useful if the marshaller is ever place inside a building so you can't see him.
  1. Engine startup by hand signals
  2. Marshaling onto stand operations
  3. Follow me car

V1.9 Change Log

Date: 25 April 2020

  • FREE support for P3D V5.  When you run the UGCX installer, you will see a new P3D V5 install option!

  • CTD fixed if using a long Custom Route Pushback name.

  • Ops Manual Changes: OPEN and CLOSE MAP voice commands removed from manual.  Additional information on assigning joystick buttons added.

  • Preview computer generated or custom pushback routes directly in the simulation.
  • Push-To-Talk key assignment for communications with ground crew when using Voice Control.
  • Bypass removal animations on 3rd party aircraft now occur exactly when the ramp agent's animation ends.
  • Tug now stops pushback exactly at the pushback route's last waypoint location.
  • Support for parallel lanes pushback at complex airports.
  • New option to display only pushback route names in the menus rather than entire phrase.  For example, "We are ready for pushback and engine start, tail southwest" can now be shown simply as "Tail southwest".
  • Modify existing pushback route nodes locations by just performing a simple drag-n-drop.
  • Speech recognition engine can recognize custom pushback route names using voice commands.

  • Support for the PMDG B737 NGXu.
  • Added a minimize button to the airport chart viewer's window.
  • Ability to modify aircraft's final nose heading with the mouse wheel on the airport map window.
  • External cameras attached to the ground crew (Prepar3D only).

  • Fixed the nose wheel angle after pushback, so it's always straight/centered
  • Added the "Stop Pushback" option to the pushback sequence in case you want to stop before you hit something!
  • Added the "Disable Tow Plane Commands" option for allow compatibility with gliders and WAMA.
  • Added a warning to the log when loading and if the "Advanced Animations" option is disabled.
  • Added the PMDG 747/777 models push method option so you can choose when you would like to use the "Braking" or "Toggle Pushback" method.
  • Fixed issue where Config Manager would not install custom Logo on the Wollard Tug.
  • Updated Airports database so US airports will use English even if UGCX menu set to non-English.
  • Fixed volume control (if your sounds sound garbled, select a lower volume setting in the UGCX Audio menu).
  • Added option to suppress use of MUTE buttons for users using UGCX Voice Control with FS2Crew Button Control at the same time.
  • Other improvements.

Date: 28 Sept 2019

  • Fixed speech recognition error some users experienced.
  • Potential fix for users using SimStarter.
  • Dramatically improved scenery indexing times.
  • Restricted voice commands so they can only be triggered while on ground while a UGCX service is running.
  • Fixed pin insertion on engine startup sequences.
  • Added ability to read 4-digits code instead of only 2 digits on Regional sound pack INI.  This allows us to offer more refined regional accents.  In V1.1, major airports in Quebec, Canada, will now use French accents rather than English.
  • Initial 3rd party SDK support.  If you wish to integrate your addon with UGCX, please send FS2Crew an Support Ticket.
  • Replaced repetitive "Braking" commands by using the default TOGGLE PUSHBACK command (pushback) only on PMDG 747/777 models. This only happens on pushback not towing at this point.
  • Fixed random 30 degree when selecting engine startup by intercom.

V1.1 Change Log

Date: 28 Sept 2019

  • Update immediately pulled due to P3D V4 scenery reading issue that crept in undetected.  Issue immediately fixed in V1.2.

Dear Bryan.

Thanks for the update.

One Question: was does the option for the PMDG 747/777 "Braking" / "toggle pushback" method mean?

Best regards,

Toto

The PMDG 777 and 747 have a quirk.  We can't push them back like normal airplanes due to the way PMDG designed them.

So we either have to fire the brakes every second or use the key toggle pushback, otherwise the PMDG 747/777 starts jerking.

So you can choose which method you want to use:  Fire brakes or use the default pushback event.  They both work.

Hi. Thanks for the update. When you refer to "default" pushback, I'm not sure what this means. Is this the P3D pushback method?

Hey keight,

It should, however, if it doesn't, you have an option named "stop pushback", in the menu.

About airport empty, try to regenerate the scenery indexes, something changed there, and to ensure it's all ok, you need to rebuild it.

I think, and sounds like...UGCX things you are in another airport...that's why it seems like airport map is blank, because airport map just loads the airport that you are in. Try to see your UGCX LOG, and you will see the airport ID and scenery file where that airport data was taken from, and from that we can confirm if UGCX was confused or not.

Cheers

I had the same issue at Gatwick yesterday , a blank screen then i remembered i changed some settings to the AFCAD so i needed to rebuild the index (forgot to do it before i loaded P3D) ..all was fine after .

Yep, we changed few things on the rebuild scenery indexes process, in order to make the loading cache process faster.

Cheers,

I was having lots of problems with the menu not showing up in v1.2 (ie, click UGCX in the addons menu"), it says "Loading data..," and nothing happens.  Sometimes, doing this 3 or 4 times it will finally show up, others it will not show up at all.

Was this a known issue, and is it fixed for 1.3?
