FSReborn's AI Lights Reborn Professional - P3Dv4 - Insights

Recommended Posts

Excellent package but I have a small query concerning FLAI, I get a message when installing telling me to disable the effects because of some issues. Does this mean disabling the effects section of the FLAI xml? Also noticed a mention of AIGM-OCI in one of the posts, is this some new AI package and if so can someone direct me to where I can find it?

best regards

@Kaiii3 (AIGM developer) kindly enabled compatibility with AI Lights Reborn Professional and therefore when you use AIGM, it will detect the presence of my product and no conflicts will occur.

Regarding FLAI, I asked the developers to implement the same compatibility and it never happened, so you have to do this manually and it is why AILRP is giving you the warning. The steps are inside my official forums pinned at the top.

Hi all,

anyone else having an issue with the preview settings mode?  I have P3D running, and my default scenario loaded (default piper cub @ KMHW) when i hit the preview button on AI Lights Pro, it says it has connected to the sim , but it then loads a scenario with the Robinson Helo which proceeds to crash into the ocean.  So for some reason it’s not loading up at an airport, but rather somewhere out in an ocean.  Any thoughts?

thnx

Richard

Had the same issue. All you need to do is right click on the screen, select "Observer" from the list and then choose the top option from the options given - check out the tutorial video @approx 51:00.

You mean the lights? If you know how and the positions, then do so. Takes ages if you don't know their positions..

Find your add-ons.cfg files, there are 2. One inside C:\Programdata\Lockheed Martin\add-ons.cfg and another under C:\users\yourname\Lockheed martin\add-ons.cfg

Inspect them, find the AI LIGHTS REBORN PROFRESSIONAL entry, and mark it Active=true.

Or, go to the top menu in P3D -> Options -> Add-ons, and make sure that the addon package is there and is active (checkbox checked)

Best regards

Guys you need to check out the excellent tutorial posted in FSReborn official forum section - it will explain tons of things.  For my use the app works so well, it is pretty much few clicks (scan AI, choose my lights and apply settings) and viola - all my AI looks awesome for me in my 4K monitor.

Music to my ears.

(Viola !!!)

There are products that already cater for user aircraft effect lighting - depending on which aircraft you fly.  FSFX packages (Old Prop) provide lighting effects for all PMDG aircraft, the QW787 and I think the Majestic Dash 8

Thanks for your feedback ErichB. Unfortunately, I fly mostly GA aircraft as I prefer bush flying not big iron. Therefore light addons are slim to none with GA aircraft.

Afternoon,

For those of you with AILRP, or interested in learning a bit more about the inner workings, I have just posted some info on creating and using aircraft type groups, including a spreadsheet with my groups and settings, in the FSReborn forum.

Any questions about this or anything else please let us know, We're all glad to help.

Have a nice weekend!

Best,

Gerald

So I just checked both add-ons.cfg files, but only one - in C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4 - has such an entry (and it's active). But, like I already said, I'm pretty sure the effects are there, as the strobes are with dynamic lighting.

Slightly off topic here, but since my question is also about lights........what controls the cabin lights in the FAIB Boeing 737s? I have a series of "Always_On_L" and "L" textures in the main P3D v4 texture folder, but am I supposed to only have one or the other installed? I am not seeing any cabin lights at all (with any of the FAIB Boeing 737 models) in P3D v4.

Richard,

Contact me privately. I have another user with the same symptoms and I would like to understand the cause.
