Hasse (westman) has a good recommendation from another thread: https://www.amazon.com/G-Skill-TridentZ-3600Mhz-PC4-28800-Channel/dp/B07FKTWKMK/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=F4-3600C18D-16GTZRX&qid=1570571234&sr=8-1

I'm using very similar RAM to this now (32GB instead of 16GB), and was using this exact same kit before upgrading to 9900k.

Thanks for the post

i went with these

So I took the Corsair ram back

and am opting for https://www.amazon.ca/gp/aw/d/B0199STG76/ref=ox_sc_act_image_1?smid=ANNSJU9W28Y9J&psc=1

which is on qvl for Aorus master mobo

i99900k

https://www.newegg.ca/g-skill-16gb-288-pin-ddr4-sdram/p/N82E16820232306

which is not on the list

but I am worried it won’t run xmp

as the other will as advised on the list.

thoughts

please

thanks

yes it will work, the gigabyte qvl list is probaly not updated or they have not test this kit but g-skill have.

the 2x16 kit is samsung b-die dual rank, my personal experiance is that it is more easy to get 4x8 kits to work.

i have one kit 2x16 G-skill for my Z-370 Apex (only 2 mem slots) very tricky to get them working with high speed and low latency compared to the 2x8gb kits.

its more safe to get 3200mhz 2x16gb to work at XMP.

Its up to you what you buy, think you have all info in the treads.

Thank you very much for the reply.

couple of questions,

if I get https://www.newegg.ca/g-skill-16gb-288-pin-ddr4-sdram/p/N82E16820232194

and then say in 5 years flight dining needs more than 16 gb and I add 2 more of the same sticks

will it run stable? Or do I need to get the same sticks all at the same time as they are revised the same?

thats what I’ve read? Is this true?

also with 4 sticks I’ve read this harder on the mem controller.

is that true?

sorry for all the questions.

i appreciate all your help.

thanks

1, yes if it same , but think its hard to find same sticks after 1.5-2 years,

Trident Z have to differnt PCB one called RGB thats 8/2 chip config then the non RGB 8/1 , it can happen that they start do all with 8/2

2. short one, when its the same PCB and same Chip B-die you can mix them , the B-die chip have a very broad quality spectrum and now when samsung stop make the B-die the binning ar thighter.( old 3200c14 sets have higher quality then the new ones)

i have tested to run different G-Skill mem modules on X299, 3200, 3600 c15 and c16,4133,4266,4600  the 3200 was Ripjaws V rest Trident Z all with same pcb 3200,3600 c15, 3600 c16, 4133  thats 4 differnt sticks , 3200xmp ok , 3600 c16 ok 3600c15 okl ,4133 fail the 3200 stick was the weak mem.

4133 xmp was doable on all other sticks mixing them in differnt  setups.

hope this clear things up
