So I guess anything less than 32gb is excluded. Only the ones with 32gigs are getting in. Sigh...

Probably with a good reason. I'm sure we will hear from MS soon and hear how and why they did it.

Ha no chance me getting in then, not only do I just have 16GB RAM but I'm still on Win7 (although I'd upgrade to 10 just so I could run the alpha). I heard on the grapevine invites were going out, this thread seems this confirms it (although I question the sensibilness of broadcasting you've been invited, even if the NDA permits it)

Now I'm starting to see why the computers in the Global Preview event had 64GB RAM. Looks like it does require a hefty amount...

How much RAM do you have?

Don't forget, it could also just be a completely random sampling across all the submissions. There may be a server/streaming resource limit on their end and they are inviting up to that point. I can't see the NDA any longer, but I was pretty sure there was a line about not even mentioning if you got the invite or not.

But, here are my specs regardless: Ryzen 7 2700X, MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon, 32GB DDR4-3000 RAM, Nvidia 2070 (and 2080), multiple SSDs (Win 10 OS on M2), 1Gb Up/Down Internet.

It's definitely not uncommon for early builds of games with a vast scope to be very RAM intensive. Optimization always comes later down the road, so in the 'rough' stages, RAM is used heavily. Could especially picture their interesting new world technology to stream a load of data into the RAM as you fly. Only reason why I have 32 is because Star Citizen was also extremely RAM intensive initially, easily gobbling up 24GB+ until they optimized it.
