We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically.

What? Everyone knows that for serious® simmers, synthetic ATC is way more important than VR!!! And seasons!!!

He wrote... " I am glad to trade resolution for immersion, because there is no better way to fly in X-Plane than with VR. " Well that may be true but only with low res VR headsets like the first Rift etc. I would love to trade in my P3D for Xplane11 in VR but my 9600K with the Titan XP can handle Xplane11 only without any AA and that's look horrible compared to P3Dv4 in VR with 4x or 8x SSAA and 150% SS in the Reverb and not to mention Aerofly or Flyinside but that are still very experimental simulators with the best overall VR performance and resolution.

Happy (VR) landings...

I have the Virtavia Boeing B-29.  On a flat monitor I wouldn't even call it good freeware, but in VR it has a sense of space like no other airplane.  It really feels like you are flying a big heavy bomber.

One thing I did notice when I got VR was that for years I had had absolutely zero interest in tube liners. I simply didn't fly them, or helicopters.

However, the first time I sat in the 737 cockpit in VR in aerofly, I was pretty much instantly hooked, and immediately developed a much more intense interest.

The same thing happened with helicopters, which I avoided like the plague for years until experiencing a helicopter in VR.

Suddenly something that I had given up on  after  probably  dozens of tries over time became something that felt interesting, and  that I was willing to put in the time to learn more deeply.

A year or so later, and I can't say how many hours I've put in flying in the helicopter over Manhattan in aerofly in VR....
