As always, take any through the lens video with a heaping helping of salt.......

We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically.

Asus Maximus X Hero Z370/ Windows 10
MSI Gaming X 1080Ti (2100 mhz OC Watercooled)
8700k (4.7ghz OC Watercooled)
32GB DDR4 3000 Ram
500GB SAMSUNG 860 EVO SERIES SSD M.2

They all seem fairly equal to me overall, with the cosmos looking the best for somethings, the index for others, and Rift S yet again for others. I'll take the Index for the Assetto Corsa, the Rift S for text and the Cosmos for Elite Dangerous. I think the Rift S is the second best every time except for text, where I liked it the most. Being the universal second choice every time is better than being no.1 only occasionally.

I believe I made right choice with the Rift S. It keeps up decently image wise, even if it's not the best, but is reportedly superior most every other aspects, controllers, performance, software, price.

If you also plan to use it for other things than simming, it's likely to the best choice. Even only for simming, I think the relatively minor improvements in image quality, even the Reverb, isn't worth the considerable hike in price. I'd probably also have to get a new GPU. My 3 year old 1070 probably wouldn't manage the Reverb, but no problem with the Rift S.

Oh dear! I can also recommend the  Alien: Isolation mod. That is, if you want to soil yourself from fear. Played it for 5 minutes. Then nope!
