Nevertheless, watching this video definitely makes me think about trying x-plane again, as all these (and the previous 11.4 beta changes) do sound very promising.

Interesting!

Again, something I thought had been modeled for ages already in XP ( ? ) even if not with the best results, but it did surprise me why then PM included a parameter to set the pitching moment due to flap deployment manually...

Looks promising... as usual...

In the first Fee versions of x-plane there was even a flap maker. A very powerful flap design tool. I never understood why Austin cancelled it in later versions.

I love Austin ramblings, fortunately he doesn't read nor care for the reactions on Avsim (or any other website for that matter) and so he will keep on doing those kind of videos. 😁

Really looking fwd for 40.10, or 40 rc to become available.

R1 is out there and is doing well on my modest system.  The Beta 10 never happened, but those features are included in R1.
