Opinions on KIAD

Recommended Posts

I'm thinking of taking advantage of Flightbeam's sale and get myself KIAD. However, I want to ensure I don't waste my hard earned cash like I have done with KBOS from a well known developer! Does it perform well? and by that I mean smoothness. Or will I have to turn everything off in the settings panel to get the thing to work properly? Opinions and feedback welcome as always. Oh BTW, is this effectively a FSDT scenery? If so, I would not be interested if I have to install the addon manager.

Hi, KIAD runs just fine. Its quite smooth.I guess that is your prob with Kbos...frame rates....It installs through the FB installer, so no hassles.

Howard, Flightbeam is the Rolls-Royce of Scenery Design.
KIAD is no exception here - looks awesome and performs really fine (as for a large airport of course).
For me it performs much better than the other well known developer's sceneries. 😉

I haven't had any issues with any of Flightbeam's products. No issues with the installer as well.

As this was posted in hanger chat I thought you were asking about the real KIAD.  OK airport but the shuttle buses between terminals are dumb...they need an underground train.

Great airport. Performance is excellent. Even better with the latest p3dv4 update.
