I would buy a usb sound card (cheep) and plug your buttkicker into it and see if you like it with just the Opus effects. That is your only solution which I think is the best for only having one unit.

Hi,i just bought a second usb soundcard. They are cheap these days. I would like to know if opus is also better for FSL,PMDG birds or only default planes? Should it run in the background?

Also how do you setup windows 10 and P3d for the new card?

Thanks apreciated

Gerard do you use Chaseplane?  I read the sound is via OPUS camera live views .

I would hate to give up Chaseplane

Thanks Michael Moe

Hi Michael,

As I have a full-size cockpit I do not use chaseplane.

Hopefully someone else can help.

regards, Gerard

I bought a Buttkicker 'amp' circuit and software from this site:

http://bffsimulation.com/BFF_Shaker_Driver.php

The software communicates with FSX/P3D directly to get its inputs, and does not require a sound card input.
It has far more features and controls via FSUIPC interface compared with any software just using sound card outputs.

Software details - http://bffsimulation.com/Manual-Shaker/Introduction.php

I reverted back to one soundcard sharing because its the only way i can get the sounds from FSL/PMDG to work properly.

An odd issue i have is that on a for instance 2 hour flight the buttkicker goes silence (still with the green button on) and i have to switch it off/on again .

Anyone having this sleep episode?

There is sound from main speaker so its not the USB port going to sleep

Thanks

Hi Michael If you are using OPUS I found to open it after the flight starts not before.

I dont use any software at all , so it must be a windows or buttkicker issue
