Sorry for reviving this old thread. I purchased this product last week from the REX store, I cannot locate any update anywhere (I would have thought it would be the latest version) as I am experiencing CTD on each flight with P3Dv4.5 and the Falcon 50 Flightsimware, never happened before installing it... I submitted a support request, but wish to check if you could kindly point to the update release, I did a search and got nothing relevant even with all your details above.

Thank you.

I purchased it recently too - the tech update 9 release will be already in the latest installer.
(I think REX shut down their forums recently - the link I used to use just takes me to their main support page now on their website - I could be wrong on this - but thats how I see it today) - I saw the update there - but again it won't help because if you just purchased it you already have it.

I also had the same problem - opened up a ticket etc - they gave me all the usual suggestion - reinstall etc.

I narrowed it down (on my set up at least) to a conflict with Active Sky 3D beta2 / 3 (beta 3 was better but I still saw it)

My work around is to use ActiveSky P3DV4 when flying any plane I want the REX Radar in - Milviz has taken back support and further development and will be releasing a new one for P3D V5 (small upgrade cost for existing owners)

You can have AS P4 and 3D coexist on the same pc - when you run P4 again after using 3D it will reinstall / reactivate the dll it needs.

Thanks Julian, I am using P3Dv4.5.2 with the relevant Active Sky version (no Beta). Yesterday I made a flight with the Falcon 50 with the radar kept in OFF throughout and could fly to my destination with no problem. I also filed a ticket with REX but had no feedback yet. A tad frustrating. Apart from that the Flysimware Falcon is a real joy to fly, I also invested into the Reality XP GTN 750 and it's superb, every day I discover something new. Glad to be back to the steam gauges!

Got it - does it happen with any other P3d planes - even the built in ones ? - add Rex WX as a pop up gauge to one of the stock planes and see if the same thing happens (it did for me)

Yea its a great plane - also like their Lear and MU-2 - the RXP GTN 750 is fantastic add on too - also got it on sale

If you have an ipad (or android tablet) check out SpaceDesk - you can extend your main Flight Sim pc monitor to your tablet and undock then drag the GTN over there (for an always on bigger display with touch) - I use a gaming laptop and there is little if any hit on fps

Thanks Julian, I'll try to install it with a stock plane. I am flying from Easter Island (Chile) to NTAA presently, my weather radar is OFF and all is fine, that tends to eliminate any other potential source of trouble. I also noticed that the radar did not detect any weather at all when surrounded by CB... I will also re-install just in case something went amiss the first time. One never knows...
