Wrong flap call co-pilot Fsc2crew

When I call out 'flaps 1' when taking off, the copilot first says flaps 1 and then he says 'flaps 5' and
puts the flaps in position 5! What's wrong?

Check the Green Bar to see what the speech recognition system is "hearing".

Sounds like the system heard "Flaps 5" instead of "Flaps 1".

I don't think that matters. It first understands my voice with the words; 'Flaps 1' and then it calls Flaps 5 while I say nothing else!

Lower your mic sensitivity a bit.

Your mic could be picking up the FO's response through your speakers, and interpreting what it hears as if you were saying "flaps 5".

Watch the green bar... the green bar will show you whatever the system is detecting.
