@UAL066 and others, which have problems:

I found the cause for troubles if you have the old NGX also installed (parallel to the NGXu):

LINDA can't difference between e.g. PMDG 737-800NGX and PMDG 737-800NGXu ... if you have the old one, the old module will be loaded, what happened with Phil.

Workaround:

open old NGX LINDA aircraft folder

Prepar3D v4\Modules\linda\aircrafts\PMDG 737NGX

delete (backup) the ident.lua file.

If you want to fly the old NGX, you have to copy back that file (and maybe delete the one from the NGXu, haven't tried that)

I have currently no idea how to fix this in an other way. Sorry

I figured this out earlier and was about to post the same findings.  I am now flying the new NGXu exclusively and everything is working

just fine!

Thanks!  Enjoy!

@raam123 LINDA 4.0.3 beta for MSFS 2020 only provides limited functionality as stated based on the old FS2000 controls and offsets. See the MSFS Default library functions. Until Microsoft make Lvars available on SimConnect then don’t expect anything like what LINDA delivers for FSX and P3D.

Hi ScotFileger and thank you for the great work.

I meant the “Fire Panel” for the NGXu ... with P3D (Not using MS2020 at all...)

(ENG1 ENG2 APU fire switches ?)

@raam123 I do apologise, I should have read the thread title. You asked about the 'new' LINDA so I assumed to you were talking about the latest 'new' version for MSFS2020. P3D is old hat.

I do not own the PMDG 737NGXu so I cannot comment on the NGXu module 1.4. Only my colleague and expert on this, @guenseli, can answer and I know he has other priorities at the moment.

Do I have to setup a profile for each individual variant? For some reason this only working with the -700 but not the -800.

LINDA identifies all variants of a particular aircraft type. This is done using unique 'matching' string to pick up all variants (eg. -700 and -800). For the PMDG 737NGXu the string is 'NGXu' is used and this is stored in /linda/aircrafts/{aircraft}/ident.lua. For the Aerosoft Airbus A3XX Pro it is 'Aerosoft A3'. You can also see it and the variants it applies to by clicking Edit next the aircraft selector box.

Some 'and' and 'not' symbols are used to help narrow down the selection. The symbols '*' and '#' are used respectively for 'and' and 'not'. For example, PMDG*737#NGXu is interpreted as PMDG 'and' 737 but not NGXu for the older 'PMDG 737NGX'.

For supplied aircraft modules you should try and create a new module to each variant. It will cause you problems.
