General? Hello

Another newby here just checking in. Got the bug to set up a real VR sim, and found this very helpful and informative forum. It's been since waaaay back when I played Warbirds over a dial up connection that I have played with any sims, and the difference from then to now is astounding!

My goal is to set up a VR heli sim to use as a tool to self teach myself everything I can about helicopter flight. Anything I can learn with a sim may save a buck or two when it's time to train for real. So with that in mind I'm pretty set on using a wide FOV HMD, probably a Pimax 5k+. I'll have to get a dedicated PC built for this too, so lots to research and learn about all this stuff. Also after watching a few too many youtube vids I just might have to grab a wheel for some Asetto Corsa fun too! Anyway, hope y'all don't mind some extra company. Carry on.
