Yes. The aerosoft textures for instance look better imho

I'll resist the temptation to respond to your semi-literate, ad hominem attacks, thought the fact that they occur whenever I mention this plane (I rarely even post in the Avsim forums these days!) is concerning. 

This is a thread asking for opinions on the FSL A320. I respect that others like this plane and find it useful for their personal simming needs.

For me, the poor performance is a deal breaker. I do try to love this plane - it was very expensive, after all - but things haven't improved nearly as much in this regard as I was hoping.

I downloaded v2.0.2.424 and reinstalled it yesterday for an evening flight out of KJAC with nice, clear weather. In flight, my frame rate remains highly unstable, fluctuating from 40 to less than 20. Whilst I find overall performance to be low, it's the unsteadiness factor that stops me from using this plane in practice. With other addons - PMDG, Majestic, A2A - this is not a problem.

You seem to object vociferously to VR usage being considered when assessing a plane. Be that as it may (my use of VR is not a conspiracy!), these observations may be of benefit to those non-VR fliers who have lower-spec systems. 

AUD$200 is a lot of money to spend on a plane, and if I was a potential purchaser - as the OP is - I'd want as many varied opinions as possible before dropping the hammer.

Well allow me to apologize for having dyslexia and when i was at school there was no help, so my spelling and grammar is there for very bad. But am sure its a source of entertainment for you to point out as you just did. Calling me semi-literate...thank you.

Not once have you pointed out that the performance is fine when not in you niche VR world and it was you that went off on the malware "joke".

Don't think for one second that using latin elevates you to a higher level, when

 " reading comprehension was good enough" .............when you cannot follow the first line of a reply ...... rich coming from you.

Not at all, I just remember very well you pointed out and telling everyone how bad it was without mentioning VR until later in the topic when people were trying to figure out why you were having a problem. I have no problem you telling people its not good in VR but the vast majority of people don't use it and in that case it runs fine. It's called the full picture. Well in layman's terms it is unless you want me to throw in latin phrases! to elevate myself to looking like a "superior person". lol.

Mate, the fact that you seem determined to continue your ridiculous attack on me from a thread 6 months ago suggests that your problems are a bit more complex than simple dyslexia.

Why not stick to the topic of the thread here?

The post that has set you off this time is my comment that the FSL A320 has significantly worse performance than the Maddog and Majestic Q400. 

Would you seriously claim that this is not the case?

 

Lets not take a topic on the FSL v NGX and talk about the maddog or Q400 v what ever, totally off topic. Am not feeding you. It's not an attack, I Just hate miss information and half facts/truths.

Putting software that takes passwords out of the customer's browser on their machines without their knowledge is no joke. You appear to be defending or justifying this behavior. This implies consent to other companies that they might be able to get away with something similar. If you are going to sell commercial software that compromises the security of other software on my system, you better darn well state that fact in the open in the feature list so that we consumers are aware of what we are purchasing. People assume that software that they pay for is safe in all cases. They allow exceptions to the machine security when installing SW that they trust. FSL did exactly what customers assume that legitimate software won't do, compromise their data and security. 

I'm word not allowed at FSL. I want an Airbus in my sim. I think theirs looks like something I would want to purchase. As is stands, FSL could be the last software company on Earth. I won't be buying anything from them. Ever. No other company will take the time to do an Airbus to the level that they have since its already been done, leaving the rest of us with no viable alternative. Therefore, no Airbus for me.

I'm okay with the fact that you are okay with a company installing password compromising software on your machine. I am absolutely NOT okay with them doing it on my machine. Please don't get online and downplay bad behavior. It is flat out, 100%, completely, totally, not acceptable. For any reason.
