Windows 10 1909 has been Officially Released

Recommended Posts

Yes, had a gpu update to 441.20 ( through Gforce Expierence) and then w10, it updated 1903 first (about 40mins) then there was a optional update which turned out to be the update to 1909 which didn't take to long.

Did a quick flight in the Flight1 King Air 200,

Yep, have latest NVIDIA driver and 1909... updates were smooth.  Performing flight UAL284 from KAUS to KSFO in FSLabs A319 and all is going great.

On these links there is an interesting statement, which I wonder if it will affect P3D v4 (either in a positive or negative way)...

Any OS guru's can shed some light ?

Windows 10 is introducing a new processor rotation policy that distributes work more fairly among these favored cores (logical processors of the highest available scheduling class).

Windows 10 version 1909 has a new CPU rotation capability. It'll balance the work across the OS' so-called "favored cores," which is designed to improve system performance and reliability. Microsoft also initiated "additional debugging capabilities for newer Intel processors" in this OS release.

I created a thread about this yesterday asking the same question as the last reply.  I'm curious to see if anybody sees an improvement.  I'm still gun shy with these updates.

I always suggest wait 2 months min before updating Windows.  Initial roll out is always buggy (based on MS history since the birth of windows lol - it is worse with Windows 10).  On my system, I did modify the update config by gpedit.msc and it is set at - Feature Update is in 60 days, and Quality Update is in 30 days (max settings).  This way; I do give MS some time fix when major boo boo on when it happens (it always happens lol)

Been running it since release no problem with P3DV4.5 and Nvidia latest drivers, I have to keep mine updated.

This is aimed at AMD CPUs, as they've had some problems with core scheduling under Windows in the past, especially their latest Ryzen have had some issues. Intel won't see much, if any benefit.
