Conflicting programs

It doesn't really bother me, but it is an irritation that I could do without.

Trouble is, I don't know which program is the culprit.

Scenario. Running P3D 4.5HF2, PMDG QOTSII. FS2Crew (button version) and GSX2. All on a Virtual Airline with its own Acars version.

All goes well until the last 5 minutes before push-back. I shut doors where there are stairs. The parking brakes remain set until FS2Crew automatically closes the last door at 2 minutes to go.

Then I see on Acars that the brakes have been released and GSX tells me to set them immediately as well.

But in the plane, the brakes are still set. It is just in P3D (the warning message changes) that the brakes are released.

GSX will not then obey any commands (e.g. can't remove the Jetway) until I either reset it or go into the QOTSII FSActions menu and set the chocks. (Which then  have to be removed again).

I can circumvent the problem by issuing the GSX commands before the  door closes but that is a bit silly as then you have an open door with no Jetway or a tug that is ready to push before the pushback checks are completed.

 

Sorry if this is a bit complicated. Any thoughts any one?

PMDG shows that the parking brake is set because the wheel shocks are set. But the parking brakes might not be actually set.

This happens to be often with the 737. Verify the parking brakes are actually set.

In my case the chocks are NOT set. There are two different messages reaching each program. One says the brakes are not set (shows in P3D) the other that they are (PMDG visual on brake lever).

GSX actually recognizes wheel chocks as parking brakes, so that shouldn't cause the issue. FS2Crew might cause this.by sending a brake release command to simulator but whatever custom routing PMDG might use is not picked up by aircraft systems and parking brake lever. You can try running without FS2Crew to checks that.

I saw something like this specifically in the 747. I had released parking brakes, chocks were not set, and still GSX complained I had to release my parking brake to start pushback. I don’t have FS2Crew. Never did figure out why this happened, but next time I did a flight with the 747 I didn’t see this happen anymore...

It looks as though I am to blame!

My normal practice is to hurry up the last part of FS2Crew by advancing the time remaining. 

I tried just letting things happen in their own time and surprise, surprise, all worked perfectly.

So, I guess I must just learn to  be patient.
