FS9 and FSX running together...?

Recommended Posts

Guest lalo lolo1

Well, a whole lot of developers are offering free upgrades for FSX. I do understand the 737 has been out for quite a while, but charging money to upgrade the 747? Hmmmmmmm.......Leo

Leo, Would you be so kind as to let us know which developers are now or in the near future offering free upgrades. I'm sure we would all appreciate it. Thank you in advance, Craig

Phil, I'm not sure I can tell you anymore than I did at the beginning of thispost. I have the FSX Beta3 and the demo. I have had limited to no successinstalling add-ons to either. I have tried to drag and drop aircraftand then copy and past any related textures to the texture folder. I also tried to install one by changing the path to point at FSX and then the Aircraft folder within the Sim Objects folder. The one I installed did work at least in part. Had a horrible timegetting the 2D cockpit to show and no luck at all with the virtual cockpit. So many of the payware aircraft relied on Peter's FSUIPC and I'm notsure if the FSX version will support the aircraft initally designed forFS9 so at this point I think it's hit and miss until the developers offer upgrades free or otherwise. Sorry I can't be of more help. Oh...forgot! I do have the beta and the demo on the same machine with FS9. Just on a different drive. Craig

Back to the PMDG issue for a minute. According to their forum, PMDG will be releasing a whole NEW 737NG line for FSX to bring the aircraft up to current standards. So, we're not just getting a patched version we're getting a new NG.Dave FisherCYYZP4 Prescott 3.2e 478p 800mhz 1mg CPUP4P800SE Asus Motherboard2.5 gig PC3200 DDR RAM 400MHZGeforce Ti 4200/128Maxtor 80 Gig ATA 133 HD x2WDC WD800 80 Gig HDhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpghttp://fs2crew.com/linepilot.jpghttp://www.jdtllc.com/images/rcv4bannersupporter.jpg
