Calgary HAS IT!!!!!

I purchased the delux version today and WOW. The FutureShop in Calgary's N.E. by the Peter Lougheed Hospital had boxes of FSX. If you are a fan of YYC then you will love FSX. Calgary's downtown is modeled right down to an accurate representation of the 4th ave flyover. Bankers hall; Cantera towers; Petro Canada Towers and of course....the Calgary Tower. Amazing to have my hometown finally modeled. You can even see all of the golf courses on final to runway 34. If you live in YYC read on.Calgary's man made lakes are all there. You can even see the split of 16th ave as it crosses Deerfoot trail. The terminal has what looks to be a close rep with Esso Avitat there and all the hangars on the west side. The ground textures aren't just bitmapped! You can actually make out all of the golf courses. Lake Mackenzie even has the "island" represented.

I'm headed to the Macleod trail FutureShop on my way to the Who concert tonight. Hoping to pickup the deluxe version there. Pete Townshend's guitar playing and FSX in the same night. w00t!Wish me luck. Phil.

These are taken from Beta3 but the downtown area is unchanged from Beta1. Lots of road traffic on Deerfoot but 16 Ave N stopped short of the city and does resume until the other side. I didn't get a chance to check the final as my main comp went in for upgrade this aft.Cal (ex-CYYC)CYXX
