temporarily less traffic!

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

Unfortunately there is a problem with one of the data sources for RealTraffic. The fourth (last) decimal of latitude and longitude is always 0. This reduced accuracy shows in your sim as if pilots are drunk... In a landing you could see the aircraft "roaming" to the runway.

I've checked this with Balthasar. He has switched off that data source, and will try to fix it coming weekend.

In the mean time  you will see degraded coverage.

Regards,

Nico

Nico,

I'm curious how long this has been going on? I've found lately at most airports I have, that very few aircraft hit anywhere near the runway center line, and many land short. Sometimes aircraft land off the runway completely; do 180 degree turns and zoom in the opposite direction. I thought maybe it was because some of my addon airports don't have correct runway locations or runway lengths, but in virtually every case they line up perfectly with the airport positions displayed on google maps in LittleNavMap.

Kind Regards,

A few days...not more than 3 I think.

The most obvious problem caused by this rounding error is that aircraft "side slip" to the runway at landing, first to one side , then to the other side, and so on.

Yesterday’s RT update did not fix the no “ground traffic” issue on my setup 😑

Flying AI aircraft are showing up fine 😊

Same for me. I miss having to dodge other traffic when taxiing.
